Well where to start with today! Got up early, like usually! But it was a little bit more of a sleep in, 6:00am! Had breakfast at backpackers and then headed into Piccadilly Circus to start our hop on hop of bus tour. We got there and there was no one around. Then we caught sight of a bus and the driver pointed to us that he would stop up further. So Kate and I chased the bus for a block the driver thought it was so funny that these two women were chasing the bus! We got on and climbed up to the top of the bus ready to get some photos. I had forgotten my hat which I really needed as it was chilly up there. Our first stop was Buckingham Palace and that was certainly a bit of an adventure! The bus driver told us to get there early as there would be lots of people, I didn't realise just how many there would be. Kate and I were squashed up against the palace rails for quiet awhile!

To get over the being squashed into the palace rails we decided we needed to find something to eat and drink. We found a busy cafe just round the corner from Buckingham Palace and sat down and had a Cornish Pasty (best one I have ever tasted) peas, gravy and chips! Was yum and I was pleased to eat a vegetable!
We got back on our bus and headed to Big Ben and the London Eye. I never realised how beautiful Big Ben is, I also didn't realise how much gold is on everything.
There was this lovely Scots man playing the bagpipe. I had to take a photo of him! Kate thought that he looked a lot like Phil!
Next up we got back on the bus and headed round to the a Tower of London.
We went in and had a look around the tower. The corridors were so small and windy. Saw the Crown Jewels which I have always wanted to see. There was so much gold, it was amazing. By now we were starting to feel rather knackered so thought it was time to head home. London decided to put on a lovely sunset for us.

I know Big Ben is a bit wonky but will straighten him up sometime!
That was the end of another busy day.
