London

Well we got up this morning to a beautiful Scottish morning.  Had a quick breakfast then headed into Edinburgh to drop car off.  As Kate has gotten so good at driving there we decided to make a detour back to the castle to get some better pictures, really pleased we did as they were much better and we had no one toot at us! Then it was time to programme in Avis and drop our little car off and leg it to Waverly Station.  Well, that was an eye opener!  Manage to sort out our tickets and find where we thought the train was going to board.  Suddenly boarding appeared and platform 2 flashed up!  We were at 16!  I told Kate we needed to go but she was busy steering at the boarding sign so didn't here me and I left her behind as I sprinted with everybody else to platform 2.  We then realised that we had no carriage on our ticket so we asked a man which carragie we needed and he pointed us in the right direction.  Finally we were on the train, where a lovely couple pointed out sights to us along the way.  Arrived in Kings Cross in the dark at 5:00pm with no where to stay.  Saw a hotel across the road so headed straight to that.  It's like gold plated backpackers!!!  Anyway it was another exciting day and I have finished it of with my first pint and a lovely Indian meal.  Bring on tomorrow!
