Arriving in Paris

Alarm went off at 7:00am got up, packed and we were ready to go by 7:30am.  Headed to the metro only to find the guy from the motel chasing us down the road as he wanted to make sure we had paid by credit card. We had two days before!  We got to the train station and headed to the ticket line, lucky it was pretty short.  We finally got our tickets to Paris and we were travelling first class. Seven hours later after a lovely train ride we arrived in Paris. Their metro line is not as easy to follow as all the others but we finally made to the area.  Then I led us in the wrong direction so it was a bit longer before we got settled in.  We both couldn't fit in the elevator with our packs on so Kate went up first. When I finally hot up to our floor I couldn't believe the view!  My first glimpse of the Eiffel Tower!  Wow! I have always wanted to see it and to be able to see it from bathroom and room was awesome.  Have been practicing taking photos of it all night.  Can't wait to see Paris tomorrow!  Makes being stuck in an elevator all ok even if it was a scary 10 minutes!
